New ZDX Base

I just joined the club. Traded in my 09 TL for a base ZDX. Black on black. I really like it. I can tell you I do not miss the TL at all. Hopefully I can keep this car longer than my TL.

One of the reason I switched cars is the 13K rebate. However they gave me another 3K off for a whopping 16K discount. Anyone living in or around Vancouver, BC, and is interested in getting a good deal, pm me. I also got top dollar for my trade in.

It's been busy the last couple weeks so I have no time to take some photos of my new ZDX... soon I will.

Overall I feel the ZDX (in base trim) feels much better put together than my TL Tech. The ZDX drives really well (like my MDX) but with an additional gear to save gas on highways.

My 09 TL had too many creaks and rattles. Small little issues like bluetooth not always connecting to my iPhone, and louder than usual engine and windshield wiper motor noise did drive me a little nuts.

One feature I was surprised was the gas tank door. Apparently you do not have to release the gas tank door from inside. When the ignition is off and the car unlocked, you simply press on the gas tank door to open the door. With the car locked, the gas tank cannot be opened.

The leather console is a very nice touch... it's a very subtle and understated luxury.

The engine growl (like my MDX) is really nice to listen to. Very sexy.

I just took a couple pictures with my iPhone in the underground parking. A bit grainy.

How does the interior compare to the MDX? I think the ZDX interior will be the norm for all Acura vehicles for the next model make overs.

I've always thought the black on black was the best looking color combo for the ZDX. The chrome trim and front grill all fits together with that combo. A little tint on the front windows and you will be set.

The interior of the ZDX feels very much like the TL that I just traded it in for.

Compared to the MDX, the ZDX is more modern inside. I really like the leather wrapped center console of the ZDX which makes it feel expensive.

I'm definitely seeing more ZDXes on the road now. Even my in-law's neighbor just got one too... a few weeks before I got mine.

Last weekend while I parked my ZDX at a strip mall, someone vandalized (lightly scratch) my rear passenger door. Luckily I was able to get a free polish at my Acura dealer to get rid of the scratch.

Even a stock ZDX gets so much attention... I'm amazed.
