I have been going nuts trying to figure out new wheels for my Grigio ZDX. The choices of wheel sis frustrating.
I first had my heart set on Vossen cv1 like the famous choice in wheel thread. I refuse to go 22", and other Vossen CV1 choices have too smakk offset. I would rather not go 20's in other brands for cost reasons(wheel/tire prices), I do like a couple enkei choices however they are 18x8. I would rather not increase sidewall height to keep diameter the same. So enkeis are pretty much out. enkei vulcan enkei cuv
but then I cam across a set of Acura TL accessory upgrades that is pretty sharp. I did all my research and while being 19 x 8 55mm offset, I could either go 245/50/19's or even keep same size tire 255/50.19 based on toyo tires website. I like toyo proxes st iii. I am very particular about tread design.
here are pics of Acura 19's. these were crazy expensive new. I have a hookup on local craigslist. They include tpms and excellent shape. All in with brand new toyo proxes stiii, they would be about $300 less than enkei 18's and $600 less than enkei 20's
I am really digging the idea of putting a bigger tire on it and seeing how they would look.
Sorry man, I don't like any of those options. Especially when compared to the stock ZDX wheel choices.
If cost is an issue and you want to change out your wheels, have you thought about the Camaro 20s? You can get a used set cheap (it's the same 5 x 120 bolt pattern)...you'll just need hub rings to center the hub, but otherwise, it's a direct bolt on...
Honda Pilot and MDX owners bolt on Camaro wheels quite often...I also included a shot of the ZDX wheels on the Pilot to show they are interchangeable...
Personally, I don’t like any of those, but that’s OK if you do. It’s your ride, tailor to any style you like; however, I would go with the widest ones that will not cause you issues. Wide just makes it look meaner.
I wanted to mention in this wheel thread that I have posted a like new set of stock ZDX wheels in the marketplace. Don't mean to thread jack, but figure most of the ZDX members here probably don't go there often.
