EVgo and latest App update broke things
I had my Acura EV app linked to my EVgo account, including setup for autocharge+. But with the latest Acura EV app update, the app now tells me to setup my EVgo account. It has lost track of my EVgo account. Anyone else?
I chatted over the app with support. I"m not sure they are even aware of this issue. Only recourse seems to be to manually re-link the account yourself. Services are down right now, so can't do that yet. We will see if I have to re-enroll into autocharge+ as well.
This is just a comedy at this point.

Complaining to people at work and realizing Acura is not alone in having an app that leaves a lot to be desired. VW appears really, really bad for example.
I think car companies in general are just not good at software.
Also the app is down today because of the Azure outage.

IMHO, now that Acura have cut the cord, they might as well throw away the AcuraLink software nonsense and hand the software control back to GM, OTA, vehicle account, OnStar, everything.
We don't need to see the dirty laundry from the Acura bin.

These global car companies should invest in hybrid clouds, as downtime like this would have a bigger impact in the future.
I think GM backend and app can take over ZDX/Prologue management quickly if Honda decide to go in that direction, but unlikely for obvious reasons.

At this point I'm removing all blame from Acura and saying this was all an Azure issue. App is functional and fast this morning, and EVgo is linked once again. Azure had a massive outage yesterday, and Azure runs the OnStar data system.
