Door hinges

Most car doors have two stable positions when open: half way, and fully open. The doors on our ZDX don't really behave like that. No matter where you put them, they tend to close on their own. Usually loudly. When I can get it to stay open either half-way or fully I am shocked, staring in disbelief. Wondering if everyone's is like that, or if we have hinge issues.

There is a stop, but on mine the front door holds stronger than the rear.

Thanks everyone. I might schedule a service visit. I also have an issue with the driver seat memory not fully being automatic. Often I have to manually move the seat to the full programmed position by holding the "1" button.

Ensure you are using key 1. The key isn't marked, you can only tell when you start the car (the gauges say driver 1 or 2) or in the menu system.

I have something similar. I understand I can program the key but when I press "1" or "2", should it just adjust everything? Instead, I have to keep pressing the button. If I release it before everything is in the right position, any motors stop moving.

Same here. You have to continuously hold the 1 or 2 button to get the seats to go fully. So freaking odd. This is the GM way? Bizarre.

My Acrua service rep said his ZDX doors are the same. They like to close, they hate staying open.
