Am I missing software updates?

When I check for software updates, it says I'm up to date. And I've enabled them to be installed automatically. However, my latest updates are from way back in March.

March 29, battery energy control module
March 23, central gateway module

Am I missing anything?

Those OTAs are all we have for now. Any software update beyond those need a dealership visit. Maybe Honda is waiting for GM to polish their VWP OTA flow, before pushing out anything.

GM started doing VWP OTA a month or two ago on Lyriq, followed by Equinox and the trucks recently. The VWP OTA seems ready, so we shall see a big drop later in the year.

BTW, saw on Prologue forum that the new infotainment software is indeed the SQBR5-250.2 version with April 2024 security update. This version has been available to GM vehicles for around a year, and addressed quite a few glitches. Highly recommend anyone to get it, and VWP, before writing off the car.

So far only Lyriq receives this infotainment update through OTA, the rest of the gang need a dealership visit.

How did you get the dealer to do the VWP update for you? Did they resist, and was it for no cost?

Dealerships get paid for updating software, it is covered under warranty.

Print out the bulletins and mention any applicable issues, for example, the crowd-favorite rear phantom braking. I would also choose higher-volume dealerships. They are more likely to have the tool (GM Techline Connect) for VWP, and have more experience working on ZDX.

If you still get a no, raise the issue to Acura customer service.

If someone from corporate is reading this, please just send out the current software package through OTAs. Eventually, the news would spread and most owners will ask dealerships to update the cars anyway. Why pay several hundred thousands
to dealerships, just to avoid the low risk of bricking a few car?
