Received this OTA today. I assume it is the equivalent of GM F172AE update, which addresses various OTA issues to enable more updates in the future.

 

FYI, the update process initially said the the update was unsuccessful. However, after I powered up the car, a dialog popped up saying the update was successful.

So don't panic if you see the unsuccessful message. This is probably like Windows or Anodroid security updates, where the device needs to be rebooted after the installation.

If ZDX update cadence follows that of Lyriq, we should see another OTA soon that improves car-to-app connection, fixes various BCM issues, and brings Android security update to April 2024.

 

Another OTA drop for Lyriq this weekend, N25-2494560. Looks like a BECM (Battery Energy Control Module) + BCM (Body Control Module) update. Appears to me that GM has been limiting the scope of each update package to 1-3 modules.

I have a feeling this is the update that addresses the auto headlight sensitivity issue. Cannot wait to see it pushed to our ZDXs!

 

I got the Central Gateway update a couple of days ago myself. It was successful first time. Can’t seen any sign of changes yet, except MAYBE it’s slightly quicker to connect via app. Or maybe not, because it’s still slower than …

 

I got the central gateway update today also. I don't experience any issue with the auto dimming headlights, however. Mine work just fine.

I installed it. It doesn't fix the issue of our car constantly breaking/stalling when backing out of the driveway. This is so annoying.

 

Another OTA popped up, this time to update BECM.

The update procedure took 15 minutes to complete. The car apparently went through battery status recalibration, which took over 10 minutes. It was unsettling because of the stalled progress bar and a sudden drop in SOC. Don't panic if you see these, they are normal.

Unlike gateway update, this one completed successfully before the reboot.
