I sold the 2010 ZDX to a family member just under 2 years ago. They took the car in for the airbag recall and upon receiving it back the AC Control and backup camera no longer function.

Naturally, the dealership claims they didn't touch anything in that part of the car and Acura USA won't help any as well.

Just wondering if the airbag replacement would have any affect on this and if anyone else has had this type of issue happen?

 

 

Sorry to hear this...this is why I perform a video time stamped "pre flight" check before I let any dealership touch my vehicle, especially now that it's out of warranty.(4 years) That way there is proof if they screw something up. I don't see how there could be any relationship with the airbag ignitor recall and A/C or camera systems. I had both my 13 ZDX and 14 RDX Tech recall done with no issues...in fact they even replaced the batteries in both cars under warranty at the time.

Wasn't it noticed when the car was picked up? Depending on your relationship with the dealer they should have at least agreed to do a check for you, but once you leave the parking lot all bets are off.

Check the obvious first (as mentioned), then send the wifey into their service area during their busy time to have a frank discussion with the service manger. That will get their attention real fast.
