TSX Sport Wagon with BC plates in Vancouver BC Canada SPOTTED... how?

wow it has been ages since i've been on here,

Ok so while driving home from work, I spotted a black TSX Sport Wagon on the knight street bridge.

Now we all know they don't sell these in Canada, and if your lucky you might see one with Washington plates, but this one had BC plates, he's local.

I followed this guy into my neighborhood where I live? Then I lost him when he turned off Marine Drive on to Jellico.

Who is it, anyone know him.

Im selling 04 MBP TSX , and have a deposit down for a new TLX and BMW 3 series Wagon. It is so expensive to import a TSX wagon over. But if I could get it locally I would get the TSX Sport Wagon in a heart beat.

i cant see it being too much, probably just PST and GST plus some other fees, our dollar is real weak atm tho.
when it used to be on par, my cousin bought a GTR from Washington and drove it back to Edmonton, saved over 20 grand

That would be my wagon you spotted. I imported it from Cali because that was the only car that met all my requirements. I didn't buy the car to save money but since I already had a decent amount of USD, exchange rate didn't hurt me as badly. In the the end I only saved a few grand since I did all the leg work myself.

I saw one in the Acura of Lynnwood in Washington this summer. It was a demo display car at the dealership. It was quite nice!

I know its pretty expensive to import from Canada, and warranty issues start.

Does our US warranty cover you in Canada?

How much did it cost you to take the TSX wagon there?

I want those 80s Toyota Master Ace Vans that are all over BC. SIGH

The warranty agreement from the dealer I purchased from states that if I bring it back to the that dealership specifically, they would cover warranty. However the general Acura warranty states that the vehicle must be registered/insured in the states. So I don't know which rule supercedes which. Either way, I have no plans to bring the car back to Cali unless it is like a 10K warranty issue.

Shipping from Socal to Blaine, WA by indie car transporter by double vehicle trailer costed me $765USD
At the border I paid GST/PST(12%) and Duty(6%) of purchase price.
Then some local inspection fees that should not pertain to you. ($350ish)
