Also, are we still planning to do the meet on the 29th?

@07NPB-S - yeah what Sejanus said, other then noise a full good quality catback exhaust system can really free up those exhaust gases. The XLR8 quads I have on is pretty much a straight pipe, no resonators.

My old 3G I was lowered 2 inches and I was fine, of course drive carefully but you shouldn't have any issues.

@Tai - damn, well from what I can see doesn't look too bad. Just the front bumper, hood, passenger headlight and fender and maybe the rad support?

@dctls08 - Yes lets still aim for the 29th, I'll be on vacation the week after lol

@polishacura - welcome, please don't tell me your car is a white base TL with quad exhaust tops that don't fit the base rear bumper. I was driving on the henday and literally the ugliest beat up white TL I have ever seen tried to race me.

Anyways guys don't forget this Sunday at 4pm is the car meet. For those that don't know the Tim Hortons just off whyte near United Cycle.

I just got my car back from the mechanic, after having both fogs (housings) and my passenger side headlight (also housing) replaced. My mechanic chose not to replace my driver's side HID bulb...seems it was too much of a PITA. He claimed the old bulb was fine, and colour was the same. He's wrong.

Any suggestion on who to take the car to for something like this? The sevice manual says the wheel and inner fender have to come off to change the bulbs. It's been suggested to me to go to a "retrofitter"...I have no idea what that is.

Do it yourself, really easy. I would replace both bulbs with new ones. Get them from thretrofitsource.com. Pop the black clips in your wheel well and peel back the plastic. You'll be able to the the fog housing no problem. Then just hook up the new bulbs. Pretty sure there's some diy on this forum.

On another note do any of you guys have a recommendation on a good detailing shop in town? Especially for a black vehicle. The old girl needs a polish and wax job. Thanks

personally I wouldn't go to a shop. They charge you 100$/hour and it takes a long time to detail a car properly. I have a friend that does it, he did my FX, he did many many other cars, mostly black (M3, M6, Lexus GS, Escalade, Jetta....)

This is all his work, take a look at his threads, he posts a few pics of it:

http://forums.780tuners.com/forumdis...Auto-Detailing

also on instagram @goranautodetailing

his number is 780-217-8762, shoot him a text or call him and tell him that Miran gave you his number.

I thought of that, but according to this link, it won't happen without taking the wheel off.

what is so hard about taking the wheel off? I mean, jack up the car, take off 5 nuts, repeat on the other side. Takes maybe 30 min all together

Thanks Myron!

Sockpuppet - did mine with the wheel on, even swaped out a busted fog light housing. As long as you don't have tree trunks for arms you should be ok. Just crank the wheel outta the way. Or like Myron said just jack it up and take the wheel off. An impact gun is your friend

It's certainly do-able, but I'd need to get my hands on a torque wrench, as I understand Hondas are very finicky that way...and I really don't wish to buy a torque wrench for the one time I'll use it. Ultimately, however, I think that's what I'm going to have to do.

I think we're talking about different things, here. The fogs are fine. What I need to replace is the HID (low beam).

My bad, but I was also able to change them out without removing my wheel. That was a little tighter but still doable. Don't be afraid to reef on the plastic wheel liner. It has lots of give.

Hey! I'm new to the site and have a black 2013 ILX Dynamic. I see a lot of TLs around, but have spotted a few black ILXs… will likely be pretty active on the site and interested in meets. Just waiting to get past the probation stage so i can post some pics, etc.

torque wrench? Nah man, just tighten with a wrench Acura gave you. I never had one, nor needed one for that (bolting up spacers included). If they designed a car that you only need a torque wrench for changing tires, they would put one in your trunk. People are way over thinking the smallest things. I am a mechanical engineer, trust me haha

Im in for sunday.

Does anyone know what i would do to fix my rims ( my waffles)? They have bad curb damage from previous owner. I can take pics if needed. I want to fully restore them and make them look like new. I think it would be cheaper to restore my rims than buy some new rims altogether.
