"WoW" I made a mistake.

I was sent a sample of Black Wow and typical me .. very skeptical about any hyped item ..

Well its been through an even dozen washes and 3 weeks of $hit weather here and its still holding up strong .. I used it around the sunroof .. in the grill and on the valance between the hood and windshield where the wipers are and on the wiper arms themselves.

Tested it on and Audi around the windows and I have seen it a few times since and its been through the same crap weather .. still looks great.

Today I did a Toyota Matrix and the rub strip on top if the rear bumper below the hatch door was all badly discolored and grey/bluish.

I tried IPA and a couple other things and nada.

So I masked off the area and used the Black Wow and it brought it back to a gloss black .. I gave it 15 minutes and wiped it down to a good semi matte finish.

I'm rather impressed with the product .. I just wish I had my Passat B5.5 to try it on the lower valances.

Where I made the mistake was .. I just placed an order with Excel and in a fit of old age sillyness I didn't order a bottle.

I can see this as a real payback time saver with the small amount used to cover such a large area.

The lady that owned the noticed right off that I had treated the rub strip so something must be right.

I use Black Wow myself for my TL. It does a manifest job on the exterior plastic trims. And I love that fact that a little goes a long way. I use it primarily on the grill, lower grills, sunroof, the area surrounding the wipers, mudguards, and the plastic surrounding the exhausts. I brought the product from Richard, the creator himself, while attending one of his clinics. He is by far one of the greatest detailers in Southern California if not the best.

Here’s the link to his website where he post his write-ups on the cars he has detailed. His site also provides useful tips and advices for detailing your car.

Well it was 13 washes and 3 weeks of rain on and off .. I just put more Black Wow on the valance under the wipers .. And it wasn't all gone yet .. Have a car show this weekend and I wanted to freshen it up some ..

So tell me Patrick .. what else do I need so I have an excuse to order a bottle. I have lots of uses for it .. just need to spread the shipping around a bit ..

Hey how well does that One Grand Paste Glass Cleaner work? We don't have that hard a water around here but I do get the odd one.

D, you will never find a better water spot remover (for glass, avoid all other areas).I'd like to see you try the One Grand Clean N Wax though!

Not sure if I need another wax/cleaner. Outside of the PoliSeal I don't have a need for one.

When do you use PoliSeal?

Optimum Compound, Polish, and then Poliseal?

Is Black Wow a cleaner/polisher? Or is it a stain?

They were applied at least 24 hours apart ... all but the #16 are sealants and need 12/24 hours to cure. before anything is added over them.

Its neither. Its actually a trim revitalant, rich in silicones, which replenishes the natural look of plastics.

a small drop was enough for two pillars. note:these pillars were not cracked, they were just discolors
