You can use it on the windshield. Lube would be the same you'd use for paint.

When I clay, I clay just about everything external. When you do the windshield/windows it makes whatever cleaner you use go on/off a lot easier too.

Not only does it allow the cleaner you use to clean the windows to come off easier but when it rains it allows the water to shed easier too without the use of aquapel.

I do. And headlights. Pretty much everything "hard" on the outide of the car.

I've been using clay from the Meg's OTC clay kit. For lube, whatever QD I've got - form the Meg's kit or otherwise.

If you're currently using Griots, I believe you would use their "Speed Shine", for lube....

Yes, I am using the "Speed Shine" for lube, not too sure about the "Speed Shine" on windows? Did anyone try their Blue Clay for windows? Worth it?

^^
Speed Shine on the windows is what they show in their catalog with the use of their "blue clay". As for whether or not the "blue clay" is worth it or not, don't know but I don't think it would make any difference whether you used the blue or their standard yellow clay on the windows with the Speed Shine as lube.

External Glass

Use detailer’s clay to remove road debris, brake dust, tar, etc. I would not advocate the use of synthetic steel or brass wool on glass surfaces; the reasons being are that no matter how fine of a grit (even #00000) you use you are actually micro scratching the surface of the glass allowing more spaces for dirt to build and settle where normal washing will not remove it, even though the glass looks super smooth to the naked eye. Grades of steel wool are similar to grit in finishing papers; the finest steel wool is grade #0000 steel wool or 1000 grit

A better way to clean glass would be to use a Hi-Tech Body Sponge™ this innovative rubber polymer product safely and easily removes water spots, tree sap, rail dust, bugs and other bonded surface contaminants from the surface of automotive glass, mouldings and, may be used with any kind of lubricant and being an abrasive it will also produce a shine

Once external glass surfaces have been cleaned apply an acrylic polymer as a rain repellent,, protectant (Klasse All-In-One) or a Silane nano-technology polymers coating (G|Techniq G1 Clear Vision Smart Glass ) to help keep glass clear and cleaner for longer

Hi-Tech Body Sponge, never seen it, do you guys have any good experience with it? Does it make that much different?

How about the wiper blade? Have you guys try to treat it with 303 product?

hmm, I never knew you can clay windows?

So you can clay glass and body panels. Should I avoid plastics or is it fine to go over it?
What about tail lights and head lights?

For those of you doubting claying glass has much of an effect, check this out. This came off HALF the back window of my Santa Fe back in January.
