Why does my waxing always leave streaks??????
All right, everytime I wax, some kind of streak happens. Like today, I spent 1 1/2 hours waxing taking my time to be careful. Streaks on hood still ...
Here's what I currently do, please let me know if I"m doing something wrong:
I use Turtle Wax's Synthetic ICE
First wash
Dry until spotless
I take it into my garage so I have more control over evaporation rate
Apply liberal first coat of ICE to whole car
Go over with a microfiber on whole car soaking up excess
Buff with a different microfiber
But stilL!!!!!

I think streaking is caused by use of too much wax. I used Ice before and thought the results were pretty good for OTC. spray a little bit more sparingly and also spread nicely, then allow to dry for about 10 minutes.

Do they say to apply "liberally" ?
Sealants should be applied thin as possible .. if your going back over the car "soaking" up the excess your using wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy too much.
Go wipe the hood down with a 50/50 mix of IPA & water .. then reapply putting it on very thin.
See how that goes.
