I am just curious what everyone is using to detail their acura's. I found a great product line I am using that is a sealant and glaze. I leave the sealant on over night and then apply the glaze the next day. The results are unreal!

Traditionally, you are supposed to use glaze first then seal.
The difficult part about this, is that not all glaze and sealant work well together. You will find many sealants requiring a clean surface... meaning no oil, polish or nada. Because of this, you will find many detailers do a IPA wipe down prior to laying down a LSP.

What does work, in some cases, is if you work within a manufacturer. For example, Meg's M07 will work with many of the Meg's line of waxes such as UW. However, I will add that there are some who find M07 difficult to work with. It does not seem to wipe off very well.

Leaving a sealant on over night isn't necessary and unless you have a pristine area that's dust free taking it off can induce marring.

X2 for C8Ns post too. Glazes can reduce the durability of sealants too.

Sealant OR wax?

How about both!

I use a sealant and then top it with a wax. World, rocked.

Haha, I came here looking for an answer to my question and there it is! I was planning on using Lusso's Paint Cleanser (in this kit http://www.detailersdomain.com/Lusso...Kit_p_718.html) prior to applying Wolfgang's deep gloss paint sealant. While this would produce awesome results if I used their Oro carnauba wax on top of the cleanser, it seems like a bad idea before this sealant. I honestly didn't know what this deep cleanser was, and it looks like it's some combination of oils that leaves behind a residue.

Is my understanding correct then that I should definitely not use any of this cleanser before a paint sealant such as Wolfgang's?

It should be fine as long as you do a IPA wipe down after the cleanser and prior to DGPS.

if the wax is a polymer you wouldn't want to use a QD under it.

If you are talking about Meg's Ultimate Quik Detailer and Ultimate Quik Wax, people do that all the time but the question is... why?

THIS. I do this as well to mine, and customers cars and it always leaves them and myself sitting back admiring the final product.

Haven't really played with sealants.

Right now, I primarily use Collinite 845 or 476, depending on season, with the 476 being a bit more robust for the winter months.
I get pretty damn good longevity from both though. I think they are very good bang for the buck.

This spring, I went over the entire car with some XMT360 with my PC7424 to get rid of scratches and swirls, and followed that with the 845. Turned out very well, IMO. CBP shows everything!

I did just win some Blackfire Midnight Sun the other day from Autogeek. Can't wait to check it out and see how it compares to what I have been using.
