I use 303 Aerospace protectant. I did some searching on here and this seems to be the best stuff for protecting and care. Alot of TL owners seemed to have avoided dash cracking issiues with this stuff as well. I like that it's not greasy shiny either.

Having spent some time on here, I have seen the 303 mentioned a number of times. I bought leather cleaner/conditioner Meguiars and use that on the seats. I have not touched the dash other than dusting it with a microfiber, and putting my sunshade up everytime I park.

303 Aerospace Protectant and Leatherique for the leather. Leatherique is a 2 step treatment which is their Pristine Clean for deep cleaning and Rejuvenator for after you clean. If you cannot afford both bottles you can get just the Rejuvenator as it also has some cleaning properties.

I read in another thread that putting protectant on the dash causes it to crack once the sun hits it. Something about the protectant clogs the pores in the dash and that you should only use a wet rag on the dash

Megs Quick Interior Detailer is the shiz. It gives plastics a matte look, no shine at all. It just looks brand-new.

Lexol is my go-to product for leather, Leatherique is some pricey stuff.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I have used Aerospace 303 on my dash for 7 1/2 years. No signs of cracking or degradation. However, I use a sun shade when the car is not in the garage. Florida sun is brutal.

I have also used Zaino "Leather In a Bottle" and I have no cracking on seat but some minor wrinkling on the driver's seat.... as one would expect from any real leather. After all, it is skin.

Maybe I should clarify. I'm talking about the CAR seat, not the driver's. :rofll:

^^ I use ONR mix to clean the dash and other interior panels, then Poorboys natural look, then top off with 303.

I always had great luck using Lexol to clean and protect my seats in my BMW, but the seats weren't quite as soft as the ones in my TL. I might pick up some 303 since so many people recommend it.

I am a HUGE fan of 303 Protectant on all vinyl, it really works. I used it on kayak and canoe hulls for years with zero fade, that speaks volumes.

In respect to leather, I use Turtle Wax Leather Cleaner and Conditioner. I actually prefer it over Lexol. It is aloe-based and does a good job with soft leather.

Thread rises from the dead . . .

Lexol user for 40+ years until today when I used Zaino cleaner and conditioner on stone colored leather seats. Never going to use Lexol again! Time to do the furniture in the house now.

I use Meguiars Gold Class leather spray. Cleans the seats nice (especially when my friends won't keep their shoes off them ) and the conditioner in it keeps the seat from drying, and gives them a good look

The Leather Seats are vinyl coated

Acura recommends Acura Pro Care Vinyl/Leather Protectant for the Dash and Seats! That tells you the seats are coated leather and not unfinished leather. Therefore, Lexol on the seats isn't gonna work! Lexol cleaner fine as it is a mild detergent cleaner, but the Lexol conditioner is pointless as it will not actually touch the LEATHER it will just be on the vinyl coating.

Bottom Line - a good vinyl protectant all around. I prefer 303 Aerospace Protectant.

Warm Water - Neutral PH 7.0.
Think of the PH harshness of purchased products and you will understand the wear factor.
