Wet Paint Glaze?
Wet Paint Glaze?
In another forum I'm on, there is a thread about this stuff and people swear by it. They've posted pics after using it, and I gotta say I'm pretty impressed with a product that is a wipe on-wipe off application. I'm usually skeptical of them.
So has anyone else heard of it or tried it? The only thing about it that kicks in my BS meter is that in the Q&A section, it claims to remove swirls.

Hey Joe, it's got kerosene. Possibly in the same category as 5 Star Shine, FW1 Racing Formula and other products similar in nature.
Wow looks awesome...
Is it detrimental to the car to not wash (particles and dirt on paint already) and then rub them around with a terrycloth towel with a small amount of lubrication? Wouldn't that produce a lot of swirls, especially on a black car?

I couldn't tell you what a low concentration would be, but according to the MSDS it's 5-10% by weight. It's been several years since I've tried an all in one product and don't want to be judgmental. I'm so used to the 3 step detailing routine. I've always said if you find a product that provides the result you want, keep using it. Can't deny the gloss and reflectivity of the photos. You're absolutely right on about the infomercial content on the 5 Star site. lol . . .

Someone try it out and let the rest of us know how well it works ... Excel Detail also sells several brands of no-rinse wash (Freedom Original Waterless Wash and Optimum No-Rinse Wash and Shine). Both of these are spray-on and wipe-off products. I don't know if they can produce the shine that it looks like Wet Paint Glaze can.
