Question Which wax to use?

I have a 2007 Alabaster Silver TL. I have heard that Carnuba wax will leave a yellow tint. What wax or protection products should be used on a silver car and still provide a deep gloss with ample protection? Any favorites? Thanks.

Pat, your only going to see "yellowing" with MULTIPLE coats of a Nuba, and this is merely due to the color of the Nuba your actually applying. A coat or two wont make any difference, as what you apply, you basically wipe off (except a micro layer).
Silver is a beautiful color, but a hard one to make pop. I opt for the synthetics like Glanz or UPP for all my details. Something certain with silver is you need to bring the flake alive by getting the paint surface as pure as possible. This is accomplished with detailing clay, and a paint cleaner at a minimum.
The clay will remove any embedded surface contaminants, and the paint cleaner will clean a little deeper.
You can get that Alabaster aweful pearly with a few hours of prep.

I love the Turtle Wax ICE! I bought the paste and it's absolutely amazing what it does and where you can use it! I have an 03 4Runner which has a plastic gray cladding at the bottom which you can't really use regular wax on without leaving a residue and the ICE went on and made it look brand new! I highly recommend it to anyone!

There were several older threads TW Ice. The question is it's durability . . . but I also say if you like the results then by all means continue to use it. Click on the the link in post #2 of the first thread for a review of the product . . .
