water nozzle
The water pressure at my house sucks, so it takes me forever to rinse with *any* sort of nozzle.
I bought a Simoniz 1650 pressure washer, and it works very well. It boosts the pressure of water to acceptable levels (about 1000 PSI for the regular nozzle--the "blaster" nozzle goes all the way up to 1650, but I'd never point that sucker at my car).
As a bonus, the pressure washer saves me a great deal of water too (since there's lots of air going through, and it moves the soap and whatnot off the car faster). I noticed this the first time I washed my car with it. Usually, I have a huge puddle of water running down the driveway, and it looks like the Amazon flowing down the gutter. But, with the pressure washer, there's only a small puddle at the end of the driveway and a trickle going down the gutter.
I did a full on wax job (claying, sealingX2, waxingX2) on my car and took it on the highway. I got back home and there were lots of bugs on the front. So, I fire up the pressure washer, give it a quick blast, and all the bugs are gone. I do know about the dryer sheets thing, but I usually only resort to that if the bugs aren't coming off with the washer.

Actually now that I think about it, I don't even remember when was the last time I used even a regular nozzle. So how does it work again? If I release the nozzle, won't the water bust the pipe since there's no way out?

You better go check your basement....it's probably flooded since you shut off the taps outside!
HAHA - that was nice . .. good one.
Im also on the side of NO nozzle.
Let the water stream over the car - hold the nozzle in the palm of your hand (to prevent it from touching the car) - and keep your hand close to the car. lwet the water stream - you will be very impressed with how little water is left on the car . .

What dryer sheets thing? Do you take bugs off with a dryer sheet?

This was a hint on the forums a while ago. Take the Fabric Softener dryer sheets, wet them, and rub them all over the bug splatters on your bumper/headlights. After rubbing it in for a bit, the bugs should start coming off pronto.
I rub the bugs with the sheets a little bit, and then come by with the pressure washer.
It's a really great hint...and apparently, it's gentle enough not to strip the wax, unlike the Bug and Tar spray. I'm not sure I'd try this on the windshield, though.

its just like a regular faucet, you turn it off and the water pressure is still there but it shouldn't cause your pipes to bust...i don't know much about plumbing but you should be ok
