Water blades

What's everyone's opinion? Do those rubber blades scratch the finish?

Are they all created equal? Or are some made with softer rubber than others?

I've got the CA H20 Blade also...works great and definitely cuts drying time in 1/2.

The CA water blade is NOT a latex rubber --- it's a siliconized product. It's much softer and much more durable then a latex based product.

I don't think you'll scratch anything with the 'blade, but it can drag contaminants across the car.

The blade itself probably won’t scratch the car.
What you need to worry about is any tiny particles of dirt or abrasive debris that may be on the wet car.
If one of those gets wedged between the blade and the paint it’s SCRATCH CITY as you drag it across the finish !!!

PS…. LEAF BLOWER for me

it's made of silicon, it in itself so it wont scratch; but be careful to keep it clean as mentioned above. im gonna try the leaf blower next time.

concur - the blade isnt the problem - its the contaminents you risk dragging across.
note - not all particles will stick between the blade and paint, most get traped in the water molecules you are dragging off, and ever touch the paint . ..
