Washing car when you know its going to rain?

Well its been raining the past week, and i was parked under a tree. So i just blasted it with water. Because every time it rains the sides are left with water spots( dust spots) even if i wash my car My question is would any of you wash your car if it had leaves and twigs in this kind of weather?

Blasting it with water won't get rid the water spots. It will, but then you'll be left with water spots from the blast of water, unless you dry it, which sounds useless if it's continuously raining.

Honestly, I'd just put a coat of wax on it so most of the water beads, and you can dry it off easily when it rains, and QD it maybe 3-4 times a week so it doesn't get too dirty.

If a car is waxed or not, and wiping it down after a rain storm WITHOUT washing it... wont that effectively make the road grim scratch and swirl the paint?

On second thought, you're probably right, but wouldn't the same thing happen from using a product like ONR or even any QD as well?

It would be fine if you did a full/proper car wash.

Two bucket method with ONR and you should be good without causing damage to the paint. Quick hose down/pre-treat of the car before you start.

i actualy used to do it. if you lucky to do it right before it rains it saves time on drying. rain water seemed to have less hard minerals in it and didnt couse water spots as tap water did.

Depending on where you live, the novelty wears off quick. The snow's great, the cold temperatures, road salt, cold starts, and pretty much everything else is horrible.

Yeah, it is beautiful! I was on the football team, but it was a joke at the time. Not to mention they screwed me up on my scholarship which is why I left! Oh well, I still have fond memories of the place.

I just give it a quick blast with the pressure washer once a week. It doesn't go 2 days without raining here during the winter so it's really not worth giving it a good wash. I'll usually give it a full on wash about once a month as weather permits.
