This one I did with a sponge right out of the bottle.. I tried a 2:1 water/gel and a paint gun but didn't have a lot of luck .. it seemed to separate .. I'm going give it another try once my $$ Tree stuff is gone.

Tires were pre-cleaned with Whesleys Bleech Wite.

When you do it a lot things go quicker and I have a helper ..

I wash my pads in Blue Dawn .. I pre-soak them for about 1/2 hour then hand wash.

I've been using some palmolive, and I let them soak for a good amount of time, but theres still crap in them, and they are still discolored. I was using a plastic bristled brush too. maybe I need to let them soak overnight and get some dawn in the morning. Would the washing machine totally kill them?

I have never had polishes not wash out .. yes you may have discoloration but it won't hurt the pad.
What polishes are you using?

Do you wash them immediatly after a detail .. the only one of the 3 that gives me a problem is the Poliseal and it takes a couple of washes..

I soak the pads in a small pail with hot water and Dawn .. then I take each pad and I squirt Dawn on it in a spiral pattern then work it in with my thumbs. Then I submerge in a small pail with running fresh water and sqweeze under water a few times .. then more spiral Dawn .. once you get it to suds good your at the time for the final rinse.

I have an old backing plate I put on my cordless drill and I spin to pre dry then I lay on a rack velcro side up to dry.

Sounds like a lot but I can do 5 pads in just a few minutes.

I know this is the best but I said the hell with it and threw a couple in the washing machine, they came out great, so I put the rest in. They are sun drying now. Time to go put some Z5 on that NBP. I had exactly 2 ounces left, I figure I should be able to get 3 coats with QD in between. Should come out sparkling.
