Todays detail: 05 TL NBP
I havent seen this TL in about a year, due to both of our scheduling conflicts as well as weather related issues. And it showed.........I went through a plethora of products trying to find the rigt combo. I started with a QEW wash (Getting rid of the last of it) then a Orange pad and and Optimum Compound (which did a great job, and I should have stopped there and trusted my first instinct). But for some reason i wanted to try one final polishing stage. And thats where the trouble began. I went with the PoliSeal and a green pad, hoping the finer abrasives would have finished out any marring the OC and Orange left behind. Well, it just didnt work that way. So, a new green pad, and some Einzett Metallic polish, that helped but actually left more marring then the OC, in the right angles. Next up, Duragloss 105 and VM. Again, hoping for the finer abrasivess to bing a little additional pop on this NBP. That worked good, but I was a little concerned about durability, so I tried the new Glanz wax with a dash of VM mixed in. That was the perfect ticket......
Wheels got the DG AWC, and Freedom Waterless as a final, tires FS Ult Tire Protectant Gel, interior got DG 441 then 221, dash and trim rec'vd 321 NSD.
Hood before.........

Hood area after.....

Rear Before.......

Rear After.......

Front Before....

Front After.....

Wheels before.....

With DG 821 in action

Wheels after.....

It was a good chance to try a few items I had not used, all in all, a good day, in about 4 hrs time....

What happened with the poli-seal? From reading your post you used it at the perfect time, to take out any marring and even leave some protection. What went wrong - Intrested in knowing because i might be purchasing some soon.

Also what is your durablility on the FS Tire Gel like?

Ya know, in all honesty, im having problems with the PS. I just cant find the right combination of pads, speeds, pressure, passes etc......I always get marring......One of these days im going to have to sit down and disect my methods, and alter some things for PS. It gets stellar reviews everywhere though. Im not really experienced with one steppers either..... I mean all the Opt polishes have time to work with, PS doesnt. It seems like one pass and your done.....I dunno!
It could be as easy as a finishing pad real slow......Come to think of it, thats one technique I havent tried.
Oh, the FS Tire Gel is fine........Real fine......Durability exceeds anything I have ever used, and its very versatile for faded trim peices......A true keeper....

Looks great! Does the 821 work as well on the non-chromed TSX wheels?

A good OTC cleaner is Prestones Interior Cleaner and odor neutralizer.

Autozone or advance discount and walmart should have it right? Also it may sound stupid, but I doo need a shop vac to get the cleaner out of the carpets right? I only have a dry vacum for carpets and I don't have a mop (go swiffer)

Parts stores or WM should have it. The cleaner itself is for light stains, nothing impregnated and really messed up, ok?! Grab a stiff nylon brush while your there.
1. Vacuum thoroughly
2. Spray product onto mats, carpeted areas (avoid letting spray, mist over to plastic and instrument panel items).
3. Agitate product in lineal direction with nylon brush, dont be afraid to use a little elbow grease. Then go lateral.
4. Let product dry.
5. Re-vacuum
6. Use only nylon brush and brush in some lineal lines!!

If your mats have rubber backing, you can also use a hose and APC to clean!
1.Vacuum thoroughly
2. Soak with water.
3. Apply APC. (A little goes a long way)
4. Agitate with nylon brush, lineal, then lateral.
5. Rinse with water.
6. Squeegy excess water off.
7. Hang top to bottom on a line of sort to drip dry.
8. Vacuum
9. Brush!

So which products and pads worked? Would yo have used them from the start? Did you use the others, those that did not work, as an experiment or to get rid of them or something?
I am doing my car this weekend and do not want to have to do it a thousand times.

The Orange and OC worked great. There was very slight marring, which probably could have been avoided with a little additional working time. But all in all, to the unsuspecting eye, they wouldnt even notice. Me on the other hand.......I tend to look at everything...So the Vanilla Moose took care of that with a lighter pore pad....
Integra, I always tend to experiment a little, you know, go off the beaten path. Thats one way in which one can learn what works, and what doesnt. You have to be patient and acceptable to trying new things. Otherwise we wouldnt have 1/2 the products we do!
