Syrup Spill!

Ok, I really need some help. My buddy spilled Syrup on my front passenger seat in my brand new 07 TSX this morning. I was very hesitant about him taking his french toast WITH the syrup to go, but I let him. Upon entering the car, he tripped over something and the box fell and opened up on my seat. Some of the syrup got on the seat, as well as the front carpet. We immediately went in and got wet paper towels to try and wipe the syrup up to the best of our abilities. However, it's totally smells like syrup in there now. So much for my new car smell. How do I elminiate this syrup smell, and how do I get the syrup out of the perforated leather holes?

Oh boy, I dont even know where to begin. Obviously you didnt have immediate access to a wet vac. You could have misted the area with water and wet vac at the same time. Hoping the water would keep the syrup soluable, then sucked it up. The aroma is coming from perforated seats.

It's terrible, and I am so friggin pissed off. My buddy said that he'd pay for me to get the interior professionally cleaned. I am thinking that this may be my only option. I've been trying to clean it ever since I got home, but the aroma still remains, stronger than ever. Is there anyway to actually get all of the syrub out of the holes and the foam, or am I totally screwed?

You may want to run it to an upholstery shop asap. I dont think you can completely extract it through the perf holes.....

It may have gone into the upholstery foam so a pro upholstery guy is your best bet.

The odour is easy (see previous post on air freshener)
