Suggestions for car WAX
I'm almost out of Zanio and need to purchase some more wax. I was not impressed with Zanio during the last year that I have used it, doesn't seem any different then the others. Does anyone recommend any other brands? something I can buy anywhere
zaino is a sealant that ususaly produces a really good shine but not to much depth. since your car is a nice black you can add alot more depth by topping zaino, or any other sealant (klasse, zaino, etc) with a wax which will retain the protection of the sealant but will add alot more depth from the wax. i would HIGHLY recomend some souveran (70$) for you black car. a jar of this stuff will last you months and will bring your black paint to life. If its too pricey for ya get some P21s (about 25$) which will also produce some awsome depth in that black paint. i looked for a black paint that had zaino toped with souveran to give you an example of what it looks like, but all i could find was klasse(also a sealant) toped by souveran.
Keep the protection of the sealant but enhance it with a good wax

Smitty, and you guys should try this new polymer by DRI WASH 'n GUARD its called ULTRA-ION. Its $29.00 a bottle but well worth it. It's all I use on my car paint. I switched from all the "other" waxes and now only use this stuff. All i'm asking is just try it. Judge for yourself. Check out my site: www.dwgint.net/danielmarling

I hazve always used Eagle one wash/waxes...I had a black 98 Eclipse prior to my CL-S and had it in a few shows and everyone kept asking me if it was the factory paint because it was soo shiny and smooth. What I do is use the Eagle OneWet polish and wax, and about every 2 months use the carnuba cleaner waxa dn follow with a coat of the Wet polish& wax. I use the same method on the CL-S and looks awesome also...eve though it is white =)

As long as you give it time to harden, you'll be uptown.
Eagle-one's Wax as you Dry
Hello,
Anyone here tried 'Wax as you Dry' by Eagle-One? It's liquid wax that you apply while your car is still wet from car wash or you can apply it immediately after you dry your car. I am currently using this product but since I have not used other wax recently, I have no point of reference.
I was wondering how this thing holds against some of the wax you guys recommended here (which I assume are all solid wax). I remember using Turtle wax and that stuff was difficult to use (lots of buffering).
Does Zaino and liquid glass require as much buffering as Turtle wax? And how long does these solid wax actually last? Turtle Wax claims 12 months, but I don't remember it lasting that long...
Thanks in advance~
James

I just applied 'wax as you dry' last Sunday, so we'll see how long it lasts.

LG & Zaino are polymer based(not wax) & very easy to apply &&& remove. LG is one step, Zaino is a few steps, but overall...very easy going on & off. There really is no comparison between these & regular turtle wax/meguiars/etc.
I used Meguiars Gold Class for a few years...and it was the best that I'd used...until I got hold of LG...difference is night/day. Anyone who says different has never tried it. Zaino is more expensive, but there are hundreds of pics on the net that show why...it really does work.
Just comes down to how much you want to spend.
well said chris. i use zaino on my car and i use LG on my truck. to be honest i think LG handles the weather better than zaino. i live in texas and we get lots of abuse. zaino gives a slightly better shine after i applied it to my car. LG overall is an excellent product. You cant go wrong with the two of them. i dont believe in quick wash and wax product (not that i dont think it works, never tried).
LG pre-cleaner
Thanks for the replies guys. I visited LG's website, and it says to use the pre-cleaner to remove previous wax application before applying the LG polish. I assume this means as long as you keep using LG polish, you won't have to use pre-cleaner again. Is my assumption correct?
How long does LG polish last?
I will probably use LG as soon as I use up my 'wax as you dry' bottle.

I didn't use any pre-cleaner...just a healthy wash with some Dawn.
LG lasts atleast 6 months from a good application(2 coats). I usually do 2 coats using the buffer, but it still looks excellent polished by hand. $17.95 at Pep Boys.
