stoner's and rain-x

What is the difference between the Stoner's invisible glass and Rain-X. I know that Rain-X is suppose to be a water repellent on glass. what about Stoner's? is that just to make the glass look really clean and "invisible"? or does Stoner's also have that repellent feature?

Stoner's is just a window cleaner - I have it and it works really well. Unlike RainX, It has no water repelling properties.

RainX is not a bad product. It beads water droplets off your windshield. Aircraft use this kind of stuff. The only drawback is whe you DO use your wipers. the wiper blade smears the product along the path of the squeegee and makes it even worse than before you applied RainX.

Try it on your headlight lens too, it seems to work fine on plastics.

does stoners actually keep the window relatively clean for a good amount of time? or will the windshield get really dirty after a day or two?

I think the Stoner Invisible Glass is a neat product. But I found that the Gunk Foaming Glass Cleaner to do the same job with identical results and is about $2.00 cheaper.

Stoner’s Invisible Glass is a general glass cleaner (albeit one of the best for interior glass surfaces)

I’ve always found that RainX looks great until used and then it smears and leaves an ‘arc’ on the windshield. I started to use Castrol Super Clean AccuVision™ and IMO a far better product then either RainX or Accupel especially on PPG Industries Optech clear coated glass (used on later model vehicles)

I thought RainX wasn't safe for use on plastic (headlights)? At least I think that's what the bottle says...

I never had the rainx problem. I wipe mine a couple times with a damp paper towel after initial application.
