Scratch damage
Scratch damage
I just found out my car got scratched yesterday.
How much do you guys think the repair will cost?
Furthermore, any idea what kind of item will scratch like this?
the only thing I can think of is someone scratched my car with key
Here are two pictures that I took after I notice the damage. The 1st picture you can clearly see the scratch. The 2nd picture is harder to see because the light reflection kinda covered it. It is a very LONG scratch that appear on both driver/passenger door

If it got two panels, it's going to cost quite a bit, $700-$1000, go through insurance. I had an issue like that with a previous car, insurance covered it less the deductible, my rates didn't change. Figure the shop has to remove any trim, mirrors, door handles, etc, sand it down, prime it, then paint it, pretty labor intensive.
Step 1: for crying out loud man tone down the picture! Re-size it and re-post it along with a couple others and we can help you.
Step 2: it looks like nothing more than paint transfer, grab some acetone from the pharmacy dept at your grocery store, apply to a rag and wipe off the paint transfer. If not completely removed go to step 3
Step 3: Buy some polishing compound from Autozone or somewhere and rub it on the scratch until it is gone. Note I said polishing compound, NOT rubbing compound
