Scared of de-badging.

I want to remove the Acura lettering and the 3.0CL lettering but am worried that since this car's paint hasn't been taken care of wonderfully ( I just bought it) that there will be a paint difference behind the letters and will look bad if I take them off. Also what is the most chosen method by you guys to take them off?

take the plunge...worst case scenario, take it back to a dealer, and they'll put em back on for ya

dental floss and a hot hairdryer will get the badges off in no time since the letters use double-sided tape...once completed debadging, if there's residue left over, u can use goo-gone, then wash/clay/wax/Zaino the area thoroughly

I agree.

After the goo gone I used a small amount of rubbing compond just to buff out the color difference. It worked very well.

nothing to worry about when u debadge. just get some dental floss to remove the emblem. Then a lil goo gone will remove the glue. use polish and wax to get rid of the marks left behind.
