earlier i cleaned my car after maybe 4-5 months of NOT cleaning it and my rims had all kinds of caked on brake dust on them. i managed to get most of it off but after it dried i found that i missed HELLA spots....any suggestions?

Griot's Garage Wheel Cleaner. Spray on, agitate with a wheel brush and rinse.

Todays "All wheel cleaners" are pretty safe, due to environmental standards as well as storm water pollution run-off standards. Most are completely acid free, but check each manufacturers directions. I personally use Duragloss Al Wheel Cleaner, followed by Protectall Do it all....
A good wheel brush makes all the difference in the world. I will be carrying OXO brushes in a very short time.....

Absolutely! Wipers ever chatter? Try it on glass as well!
