Removing holograms!

Hey guys!

I had a guy at a detail shop try to buff out a deep scratch for me. He had to use a rotary buffer, that's why I had him do it. I know how to use a PC, but I'm not comfortable with a Rotary. Anyway, he got the scratch out, but now I have these awful hologram/ghost marks all over my trunk-lid. It looks like crap, and I'm not sure how to remove them. He did put a coat of wax over where he buffed, but the holograms are still there.

Anyway, could I take something like Meguiars Swirl-X by hand and remove that, or no? What would be the best method for removing this?

Thanks much!

Use the PC and a light grade polish with light grade pad!
I would go with a white 5.5" pad and something along the lines of Optimum Polish.

I would also take before and after photos, and get back with the place that did the "repair" for you. It sounds like they've got something to learn about paint refinishing!

I couldn't agree more.
