Removing blood from Acura leather!
Hey guys,
My neighbor stopped over today, to ask me if I had anything that would remove blood from his 2008 Acura RDX (light leather). Apparently his son skinned his knee last night, and he thought that the blood had stopped. Well, his son managed to get some on the leather seat, and the owner didn't notice it till this morning. Since he's at work now, the blood will have sat on the leather quite awhile, so I'm not sure if this will be removable. Here are the products that I have, what would you all recommend to remove this, or atleast attempt to? Products are as follows: Woolite/water 8:1, Meguiars APC (Green stuff) 10:1, 4:1, Zaino leather cleaner/conditioner, Meguiars Rich Leather wipes.
I guess my question is, will this blood come out of the leather? I'm thinking that where Acura's leather is a "covered leather," this might make it a lot easier to remove, but I could be wrong. Has anyone removed blood before? If so, what did you use? I thought I would come on here and ask before I use the wrong thing, when something would have initially worked better.
Thanks much!
Jeff

Warm water first with a little MF attrition. Then move to a little Woolite.
You could also put some conditioner on it to help soften it up over several minutes. Then wipe away. Shouldnt be that hard to get out....
Last resort go with the APC, but at a 20:1.

Just to let you guys know, the microfiber towel with warm water removed the blood. It actually cleaned up much easier than I would have expected. I suppose there are some advantages to having covered leather
Thanks again, guys!
