Removing 2 sided tape from painted surface.
My rain visor separated from the 2 way tape that was holding it on to the door.
What is the best way remove the remaining 2 way tape in order to get a fresh start?

I'd try heating it up thoroughly with a blow dryer for a bit. Then when it's properly heated you should be able to peel it off slowly. My dad always says to use lighter fluid or WD-40 if you need to remove residue. I really advocate THOROUGHLY heating it. An exterior painted surface should be relatively hard, but when I had to take off fake wood trim in my car I got impatient. The pieces I really took my time (the first ones) with came off fine and I used a little Goo Gone for the residue, but on the last piece I didn't heat it up enough and the soft-touch paint Infiniti used on the piece peeled right off with the adhesive.

To clean adhesive residue use 3M general purpose adhesive cleaner. Usually comes in a quart and can be found at auto paint and body supply stores. This stiff works like magic. I had to remove a bunch of masking tape residue on my TL that dried under the sun. I swear by this stuff. I tried everything from wd40 to alcohol and all kinds of chemicals. But this stuff is designed just for that.
