quick question bout zaino

hey all, just got my pwp tsx on the 24th and im already buying stuff to wash my car hehe. already got a microfiber sponge and some microfiber towels. i plan on getting the zaino protection show car kit. my question is, is zaino a substitute to wax or replacement to it or do i zaino and still wax it? im really in this more for the protection than the shine, although the shine is a great benefit from my urge to protect my car at all costs. thanks for the info!

everything in the kit you bought should be what you need to get a great shine and protection. Although I have heard of others putting a coat of wax over their Zaino, I have not seen less protection performance with Zaino compared to any wax.

ok cool. my only question was if i NEEDED to apply wax ontop of zaino. this is my first new car and i never had to wash my old beater car to this detail so i wasnt sure whether zaino replaces/substitutes wax or if it compliments waxing also. i guess i wont need new wax products hehe, wish me luck on my clay job!

You should have all you need in the kit to protect you're car and keep it looking great. You might consider topping the zaino with a good quality carnauba. Check out the forums on autopia.com and read the how to section on car washing to prevent any marring of the paint. They're very helpful.

if you are using zaino then you do not need to wax your car. it's another system altogether. but... you do not put wax on first, then zaino. big no-no.

and to be clear, zaino is not a wax.
