removing gum from leather

removing gum from leather

how the hell do i get gum off of leather?
goo gone does not work because it causes the leather to become discolored.

Compressed air. Spray it onto the gum only and allow it to freeze then pick it off.

I've also had luck with:
peanut butter - the oil gets under the gum and removes it
ice cube - similar to compressed air - freeze it off

try dry ice instead. just be sure not to let it touch your fingers.

dry ice could crack the leather. I'd stay away from it.
