Pre-wax recommendations

I got my TSX at the end of May and sometime next month I am planning on Clay Baring and waxing the car with NXT to get ready for the winter months. What should I use after claying and before the NXT to prep the car for the wax? I don't have an orbital buffer so I'll need something that I can use by hand.

Thanks for the help.

Claying is your best prep for polish application, which is what NXT is. Some people have done several coats of NXT followed by a wax seal. I used Zaino myself and found that two coats of Z2 worked very well by itself.

So, once you clay, just wash off the lubricant you used and your ready to polish. Apply the polish with any kind of foam pad. That should work fine. But, for the best shine, get a microfiber towel to remove the polish. Just remember to let the polish dry really good.

No he's not. He is saying he is going to use NXT, which is a polish. I think he is confusing NXT with a wax, when its really a polish.

i thought the nxt is a wax too, but yea, i would wash, then clay, then wax. make sure you don't rub the compound too hard or you'll scratch the paint

By hand the vanilla moose or P21s paint cleanser works well. Easy on, easy off.
