Another quick follow up question (or should I say questions
)...should have written this down.
UFSE?
SIP?
1) I'm applying SIP as a polish right?
2) UFSE...forgot where that came in the lineup.
3) FS UPP is the sealant or topper? Applied last?
I am so
I should have written this stuff down.

Honestly...I'm not sure.
I just started polishing using this SIP.
Haven't got there yet.
I think I am supposed the FS UPP with my PC.
Starting @ 4 and finishing @ 6...
Denzil is going to laugh when he reads this...
Looks like I didn't learn much except PC technique.

SIP = Menzerna Super Intensive Polish (medium polish)
1) Yes, SIP is your first step and will be followed by UFSE as your last polishing step.
2) See above.
3) FS UPP is your sealant and LSP (last step product aka protection). You will apply it with a yellow foam applicator that you can get locally from AutoZone or Kragen. You could apply it via PC at speed 2 but you don't have the right foam pad (you need the red foam pad from Patrick).
On a similar note, sealants are always before wax if you decide to layer your LSP's.

Oh ok.
Was working on my first mini detail.
I got to say...dayum that's some hard work.
My hand was numb for like 20 minutes.
I guess you get used to it after a while...
Couple of follow ups...
1)
I have some stuff that's not lifting with White Lake Country Polishing Pad + SIP.
Can I use Yellow Lake Country Cutting Pad + UFSE? Is that an okay next step..it's what I got?
2)
I need a red pad to apply FSUPP?
3)
Should I look into the Opti-Seal product now for going forward since I used an independent polish & sealant?

get some grey pads, thats what i use to apply upp, i use speed 2 and i can whip out the car in like 15 minutes....
everyone should have a bottle of poliseal, this is a good all around product, it is considered an all in one polish, cleaner, sealant, but it doesnt have much protection or correction ability in it, but it sure does clean up the paint really nice so you have a nice clean base to apply upp....i use the grey pad with poliseal on speed 3-4 and work it in, it dissapears very quick, so this will be a quick pass too...
i dont use sip, but from what i understand, it takes a while to work in, speed 6 here and the white or orange pad....

When you guys refer to FSUPP, its the one in the spray bottle right? Are you just misting the grey pad to apply?
From your description of Poli-Seal, it sounds like an AIO... any difference between this and Klasse AIO or ZAIO?
After creating a nice base using one of the above methods, it goes sealant, then wax right? Where does the UPP fall?

2) You don't really need a red pad for UPP but I like to use it. You can use a yellow foam applicator by hand or if you want to do it via machine, you can use that black pad for final finishing and LSP application. Just be sure you use separate black pads.

3) Opti-Seal is a pretty nice product and that small bottle goes a really long way once you get the application method down. You can spread that stuff pretty far!

Ok....yeah I have a couple of black pads.
I was applying it by hand.
You know what though...I should go snap some pictures.
Because I was trying to lift some marks on my door panel...and nada.
So that means I need to go deeper right? SIP + Yellow Cutting Pad?
Or keep hitting it with SIP and White Polish. Pad?
*Note...SIP is the only polish I have right now.
If I polished an area yesterday that I didn't seal...which I know is bad.
What can I do...to get back into that area safely and continue working today?

Seems to be a really popular "all in one" go to product.
Good for amateurs like myself.
Yeah what I have is in a bottle and the consistency is almost milky...

Just QD the area you didn't seal and have at it again.
becareful with sip and pads, i was told to use one pad agressiveness down from what you think you need...i cant imagine needing anything more then an orange pad....i guess it really depends on what the condition of the paint your working on is....

Ok...here is a mini update.
I re-washed the area I didn't seal since I had already mixed ONRW in the sprayer already.
Went back over the hood which I bought used and had the most damage.

Can't seem to lift the scratches with SIP + Yellow Cutting Pad.
Am I doing something wrong?
I apply @ 4 and finish @ 6
The trunk is coming out nice...that's just SIP + White Pad

Couple of more problem areas...
Can't figure out what's going on here...
The car was previously rear-ended...maybe paint over spray?
What do you guys think?

Also...where I removed my mudguards...

you can also use just plain ole water...i do use the quick detail spray on pads that look older, but if i use a new pad i just prime it with polish, meaning i use a little more then usual, and spread it evenly over the pad....just enough so your not running a dry pad on your paint...

A couple after pics from my first little detail.
Def. was a learning experience and I'm not entirely happy with it because I didn't everything I needed to.
Started getting lazy...
I really needed to go back and re-do my hood because I couldn't lift the scratches.
But that can be for another time and I plan on getting it re-cleared so...
Anyways...not too bad for a detailing virgin.

I can clearly tell where my car was re-painted and see how bad the paint job was...!

Is that right?
Well I wash once a week so will I just wash with ONRW and dry with Optimum spray wax to maintain?
And then once a month apply FSUPP?
