Good point.

Turns on.

I'll ask Denzil to take a look at it when he cruises over on Saturday.

I think you should ask for a lower price. Also, if he could provide pictures that we could see, that would be helpful.

I don't think I'd pay $100 + shipping for it. Even if it is more from Patrick, I'd still go with Patrick instead.

However, if he'll do $80 shipped, I think you have a deal. Otherwise, no go.

Is it used? That backing plate is not well suited for foam pads, its not very rigid. The problem with used PC's is you dont know how many hrs are on them. Typically after about 300 run hours, the brushes weaken, and you start to lose the rotation. Brushes are about $30.00 (?), then your in brand new shape. Ive gone through two PC's this way.....

Boo

This polisher is not designed for heavy compounding and will not do well removing heavy swirl marks or paint imperfections. To remove heavy swirls, scratches and other paint imperfections requires a professional, circular polisher such as the Makita 9227 or DeWalt 849.

OK after doing some of my own research, I think the PC7424 would be a good purchase for me.

Am I better off paying $110-120+ from here for just the basic packages or spend $200+ on this package?

I would much rather purchase a better kit from Patrick. What he has to offer is better than going out and buying everything individually on your own. Don't worry, Patrick will set you up right. If not, you can always ask me what I think you should get.

^ Just spoke to Patrick and I was just about to buy this

http://www.prestostore.com/cgi-bin/s...5683&pd=299296

Then I saw a similar package for $170 (free shipping) that includes 2 white pads, 2 gray pads, 2 orange pads, 1 5" urethane backing plate, a wrench and a counterweight!

Sorry Patrick
