Porter Cable Polisher Pad questions..

Hey guys,

I was just wondering if I could use the same PC pad with the same compound on two cars before washing the pad. I was thinking about waxing my TSX (Carbon Gray Pearl), and then waxing my Mom's Ford Escape (Blue). Can I do this using the same W9006 pad with the SAME wax for both cars before washing that pad? Or, am I better off to do my TSX, wash the pad, then do the Escape. Any help would be appreciated.

Jeff

Sometimes the pad will collect ground in dirt, missed by the clay job. Just keep an eye on the pad, if it appears clean, continue to use it. Common sense prevails here gentlemen.
As for washing, give them a good All purpose cleaner massage. Auto soap isnt the most preferred due to its gentleness. Opt for some laundry soap or Charliesoap too!

I usually have 2 of same pads available. Just a suggestion . . . but $h*t happens to the best of us. And besides, it's great to have a backup.

What would cause you to go through that many pads? Is it just because the car is that dirty? Shit, I only have 2 w8006's and 2 W9006, perhaps I don't have enough.

Are you talking about doing 2 cars with the same pad on the same day or 2 weeks apart? If the same day .. no prob per above .. if not the product could dry in the pad and cause issues.
