Talking PFW is the SHIZ!!!

Just gave my Lake Country Purple Foamed Wool pad a run on the black 2001 Mercedes C320 I'm detailing and my God...

I was a bit skeptical but I now see why wool is so popular for correcting seriously neglected finishes. This '01 Benz is not CeramiClear but it is fairly hard so correction is a bit harder than usual. I had tried my foam LC Orange with SIP and was getting some fairly good results but the PFW with the SIP brought the paint up to the next level. One finishing pass with Menz 106 and an LC white and the black is now deep enough to swim in!!!

My advice to anybody considering PFW for their next pad purchase is this: DO IT!!!

Are you using it with a rotary or just the Griots?

Yes, PFW is a very powerful tool...

Glad it's working well for you Andrew.

Quick question....with my LC Foam pads, I spray them with some pad cleaner and throw them in the washer. Only air dried!

How do I clean the PFW?

The car isn't quite done yet. I got ready to do my post-polish wash as the polish dust was pervasive on the black paint at which point I realized I had no clean waffle weave drying towels. I could have just dried them off but I had tried this before. It was streak city.

The WW towels are in the washer now. After the car is done, a write-up will be posted.

PFW is an absolute must for thorough correcting. It also considerably safer than foam, too.

I used the Griot's random orbital with fine results.

Write-up is under construction now. Keep your pants on, girls.
