Can you guys reccomend a good OTC car wash soap that will help prep my paint for clay and polish?

If you're going to clay, you don't really need to worry about prepping paint IMO. Claying will pretty much prep the paint. Any OTC soap will be fine... I like using Meguiars Gold Class soap though because

1) it works well
2) it's cheap
3) it's easily available

 

I second the Gold Class. You can get it in a smaller volume than most other ones, and it will run you about $5. Nice smell, too. A good starter wash until I order some ONR.

Clay won't strip ALL existing wax / LSP.

Megs GC is nice. I've heard NAPA sells Duragloss now so check that out.

 

This would be my OTC choice as well if I didn't have access to the CG shampoos I usually use.
