Optimum combo thats a little different

A bit ago I got some Optimum polish that was an old batch and was lumpy so the rep up here replaced it and threw in a bottle of PoliSeal.

I did a little experimenting and came up with a combo that really works well .. is easy and has depth and gloss.

I do the usual polishing with the compound and polish ( my go to now instead of 83 & 80 because of the working times) then I apply PoliSeal with the PC at 5 with a black finishing pad then follow it with Meguiars #21 by hand.

the results have been outstanding;

Very attractive! What did you use for polishing that Vette? Opt compound? That Vette has some hard clear! The beauty of Optimum products are its ability to mix and match even products. Need to tame the compound a little? Add some polish...Need to boost the polish? Add a little compound!
How did you like the PoliSeal?
The looks sum it up!

I don't have a rotary so on the Vette I used the Hyper on a yellow pad where needed and then the compound on a white pad all over it because it was so hard and it made it pretty well LSP ready ..

The PoliSeal was a little odd to get used to because you use so little. Its like a Klasse AIO with a few steroids. If you have the right amount on the pad it seems to go on and off at the same time. I didn't think it was doing anything when I first used it untill I experimented on a non-polished hood that still had some clear oxidization then you could see the line. To me it outperforms AIO.

Even on the Vette you could see the difference. To me it lays down a nice shiny pre-sealant shine and cleans up the paint at the same time as the Optimum polishes can leave a film.

I don't know what other sealants would look like over it besides the #21. I do have FMJ/Wolfgang/Klasse SG/Zaino but not into experimenting right now as I'm too busy and getting tired lol. I'd like to try the Optimum Opti-Seal ( I think its called) but I have too many on the shelf right now and its pricy. I wouldn't have even had the PoliSeal if it wasn't for Optimums great customer service via its local outlet up here in CanaDUH.

This is supposed to be a pass time and I think my quality of work is catching up to me as I have been doing 5 cars/trucks a week. My goal was 1 to 2 a week.

And for you youngins that think detailing is tiring ... try it at 155 pounds and close to 63 years old .. don't give up fellas .. the results are the reward .. not always the $$$.

Love the finish on the Vette. I also like the phrase "Klasse AIO on steroids". I think AIO is a great cleaner and the major difference between the two would be the abrasives in PS.
