Need some advice

My dad has a Black 05 545i that has heavy swirls. I plan on detailing it this weekend using my PC 7424 and Sonus pads. My planned routine is below:

-Wash and claybar
-Meguiars Dual Action Cleaner/Polish #8
-Klasse AIO
-P21S

Do I need to use a pure polish or is AIO good? Thanks in advance.

As far as I know, BMW paint is pretty hard. DACP #83 or #80 may do the job. You may need to do a couple of passes or even play with higher speeds. Make sure you have a bottle of 50/50 of alcohol/water and MF cloth to wipe off the residue.

AIO/ Polish alone will not remove swirls. AIO by itself has some polishing qualities (pretty good) but the Klasse Sealant Glaze topped with the P21S would be an awesome combo especially on black.

Have you used 83 with a PC before?

Not this product specifically. I have used the PC 7424 for years though. I just bought LC 6.5 Orange, White, and Black Pads. I also purchased Menerza IP and FPII along with S100 wax.

My plan on the 545 is:
Wash
Clay
IP starting with the least agressive pad that removes swirls
FPII
S100

Should I add a Glaze before the Wax? I have Meguiars #7 in my garage. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Oh yea...I also plan on detailing my 05 Mustang, which has never seen a carwash and has minimal swirls. I plan to Wash, Clay, Menerza FPII, #7, then S100 to top it off. Sound like a good plan of attack?

A good link for a Mustang detailed with #7 and #26 can be foundhere.

Applying #7 here.

83 can be very tricky to say the least. Im not familiar with LC's pads so your on your own there, maybe some one else can chime in for pad selection. 83, although a good product, is difficult to use, and will more then likely require some additional follow up work with a less abrasive polish, which will also help clean up, what it leaves. Dust and product residue. It has to be worked clear, and this all depends on the amount you use, which depends on the amount of swirls your intending to minimize or alleviate. I would advise too little, then too much, or your in for a workout.
Give it a shot in a small area first.
Personally, I dont like #7 before anything, and I often think its misused as a underlaying glaze. #7 is basically an oil, that you apply thin, let skin, and remove. Let skin, and remove, let skin, and remove. It never sets up. Now if you use a product that never sets up, and lays there, how do you insure that your wax or protectant, isnt left floating on top? And after applying a Nuba, what benefit have you gained by using the glaze after relocating it while applying the Nuba? This is the problem I have with waxes anyway, and this is why I dont use waxes, as stand alones.
In my opinion, #7 should be used, as the name implies, a "Show car Glaze". Apply it, as thin as possible, let it haze or skin up, then wipe away, repeat if necessary, and wallah, a beautiful finish. Not meant to be covered up, but used as a means of enhancement for temporary beautification, like shows or to impress the neighbors.....

Should I do another process between the Menerza FPII and waxing??

Detailed my Mustang today....Clayed it, Menerza FPII with white LC pad, Meguairs #3 Machine Glaze with white pad, then topped it off with S100 by hand. The car has very very little swirls in the paint and it looks amazing. It was drizzling outside, so I didn't get any pics of the car.

Also did a test on my dad's 545i trunk. I used an orange cutting pad with Menerza IP, then Menerza FPII with a white pad, and then I topped it off with a coat of S100 by hand. The car looks almost as good as my Mustang. He had a ton of swirls and 95% of then I was about to get rid of.
