Need help with deep scratch

As it usually goes, just bought a brand new car, 20 miles on it, my dad who's in construction gets in to check it out and scratches the crap out of it with his belt. Can someone please tell me how to fix this?

The man gave you life and you're complaining about a scratch?

That's low.

I've noticed I tend to accumulate those same type of scratches right there too. I've just accepted it and have taken the do nothing approach. It's inevitable.

Maybe just thank your dad for breaking the car in for you. At least you don't have the heavy burden of knowing you gave it the first scar.

Then go key his truck.

You sure know how to bring a smile to my face. When I was a teenager living at home, my father managed to initiate both my cars by inadvertently backing into them. Lordy, I miss that man.

Me? I'd get a little label or plague or sticker made that says "Dad was here" and affix it next to the scratch.

OT: MY dad passed away 8 years ago. Dad loved cars. Every since his passing, I've kept his Burburry golf cap on my dash just forward of the instrument cluster.
