Meguiars cleaner paste wax and Ice spray wax.

I used Meguiars cleaner/polish paste wax and after I was done and buffed everything off with a 6 inch random orbital I was pretty satisfied with the way it worked.

So after driving it for a couple of days it looked kind of dull.

After reading the label I bought Ice premium care spray wax.
It states:
~repels dirt
~use on paint, glass, chrome, plastic, rubber trim and wheels.
~streak free formula/shine with no white residue
~hides minor scratches and swirl marks

An all in one spray wax?
I applied it after the paste wax and produced a stunning shine to the car. Also used it on windows, chrome, plastic, headlights, tail lights and rubber trim. Everything looks great just how long it will last is the most important question.

Which Meguiars was it? pix .. should have lasted longer than that. Ice won't last long at all.

You say after you were done you buffed it off .. explain your procedure , and you say you buffed it off with a RA .. was there pad on it or ???

Used the random orbital with a microfiber pad to remove the paste and then to give it more shine used the Ice spray wax.

Pi didn't work, Not a great idea to remove wax with a PC and a pad ... you dry olishing which could explain the dullness.

Thanks for the video.

I use a random orbital but that black and decker is something I will upgrade to or even a variable speed buffer and polisher they have one at harbor freight tools.

Also the spray wax lasted about as long as my original post.

Just wanted to make myself clear.... I do not agree with what is being done on the video.

Since OP mentioned the black and decker.... my opinion is that its fine as a wax spreader but for a little bit more money, I would go with the HF DA polisher which actually has enough power to correct paint.

Lol .. I watched that video .. we should book mark it and refer people to it to show how NOT to do it ... every step is wrong lol .. including using dirty pads and wool to polish dry paint.

Yep.... I know it is only a wax spreader but that dry buffing on a wool pad blew my mind!

What are you trying to do?
I would suggest you start a new thread with some pics so that we can see the condition of your paint and give proper advice. Some close up pics would be nice as well.

Thx, C8N....will load tonight, I am trying to wax it, bought dif products but nothing special. but when I run my finger along it after I finished waxing, it doesn't slide smooth. hope I didn't confused anyone, lol. Even went the clay bar route, that did pick up extra dirt. but again, not really smooth. maybe Im picky? Guess I just have to take it down to a shop with a really good buffer.

If you clayed the car and then waxed it properly, it really should be really slick to the touch. Only thing I can think of is there might some residual junk on the paint that washing and claying are not effectively taking off. On your new thread, let us also know what other steps you have taken so far. I would also be interested in how you clayed the car. The clay should really glide against your paint with no resistance when the paint is clean and on a dirty car, it may require multiple passes to get to that point and decontaminate properly.
