megs leather cleaner/conditioner

Hi
i just went to pep boys to pick up a few things and I picked up Meguiar's leather cleaner/conditioner. It was not the spray one, but the bottled one, when you shake it, it's kind of thick. Anyway, my question is, is this stuff any good and will it leave my leather really slick or will it leave any nasty streaks, etc. My leather is black by the way. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

i have the spray bottle kind and it works fine for the price. I usually spray it on and the next day go over it with a mf to clean off all the overspray. I would not recommend you sit in it right after you apply it because it is still a little wet/ sticky.

The meguiars works well. I use it all the time. Dosent leave your seats shiny or sticky at all. Just nice, clean and conditioned. Only draw back is that it makes your car smell like a cheap western store for a few days.

In the end, the leather looks and feels great. Not too shiny... Not slippery...

BUT... I am no longer using it because, as it is a white thick kinda liquid, it kept getting in the dimples on the leather of the seat. The next day I had to go back with a toothpick and "clean" some of the lil holes in the leather...

I will be switching to Lexol for the seats, but will use the Megs for the steering wheel, etc...

I just got my car but I plan on using the Honda Pro Leather Cleaner/Conditioner. You have to buy it from the Honda dealer service department. I also have been using the Honda Glass Cleaner and Honda Pro Polish for years and they work awesome so I think the leather cleaner will work just as great.

I use it and it works great .. I get around the "clogging" issue by working the non-perforated part first.

To illustrate ... I add Meg's to the mf, and work my way in from the solid leather to the perf leather, by the time I get in, there's still some on the cloth but the heavy concentration is on the solid leather ... no clogging

I've been using the Megs Medallion Premium Leather cleaner/conditioner. Works great.

The key is to always buff with a seperate towel after to apply.

I used it today, and the residue in the holes looks like crud, just spent 15 minutes with a needle cleaning the holes.

Exactly... Like I said above... I understand how others have "made it work" by being super careful... BUT... There are 1000 things to do when detailing and making the car look nice... Saving a lil time here/there is alwasy good. And the Lexol product is also top notch...

The Lexol works with no goop in the holes... (I do use the Megs for the steering wheel however.... )

Switch to the dark side.... Err.... Lexol...

Finishing my bottle of Meg's thick and chunky leather conditioner. Works pretty well if you are careful but I'm moving to a clear liquid wipe to save time. As long as it cleans my ass sweat off the seats, I'm cool with them.
