LSP's applied by hand or machine

I was just curious to see which method you folks prefer for applying LSP. I have always applied by hand, but this last time I applied with a PC with black pad. I must say it went on a ton better by machine and it seemed to adhere to the paint more. Could all be in my head but it is amazing and I'll never do it by hand again. Also the LSP I am referring to at this time is Carrell Brothers Cherry Wet Wax. I bought it from a local paint shop and it is amazing, the beading is outstanding.

Also must say thanks to Swoosh (Anil) for my extended "borrow" time of his PC.

I bought a PC last fall and will apply by machine if I polish the car first, other wise I'll just do it by hand instead of dragging out the machine and dirtying up pads.

I am a big big proponent of applying by machine vs applying with foam applicator pad.

Last week, I clayed, compounded, and polished my NBP type-S from the rear doors back. Applying by machine was a blessing. After washing, claying, compounding, and polishing all panels, I did a final wash and then a wipe down with 50% IPA and let that evaporate. I followed that up with the Griots Garage 6" random orbital buffer and a black pad with Blackfire Wet Diamond. It worked so so well. I like to do it on speed 3 with the Griots. I allowed the Blackfire to site on the paint for about 15 minutes and then buffed it all out. Great experience overall.

The plan next time is to follow the Blackfire Wet Diamond sealant with some high quality carnuba wax.

I prefer to do it by hand as with a PC you still have to do a lot by hand to get into the smaller areas and to keep it off the black textured trim.

Using a PC also has a lot of product waste and the pain of trying to wash it out of the pad.

agreed, if you are good, find a lsp that is a wipe on wipe off and you can wax the whole car in about 30 min.

Im in the same boat as Jess (seems to be the case most of the time), for me there is way too much product waste from product building up in the pad and the pad is a pain in the ass to get clean.
