Local stores that sell claybars?
Anyone know of a local store, perhaps a chain or something, that would sell claybar? Even if you don't live near me, perhaps you know the name of a chain that carries it? I really want to wash and wax my car today, but the place I got my stuff from didn't carry claybar. Thanks for your help.
Gale, You should be able to find them at wallmart, pepboys, Im not sure about autozone or advance but a big chain should have them. You could always order from Zaino. Clay is Clay though. but there wax is the best stuff i have ever used.

All clays are not equal, some are real sticky and not user friendly....They also make 3 different grades, fine, medium, course...Make sure you get no more aggressive than medium.....

it would be called a "Quick clay detailing kit". The meguiars one comes in a box with a bottle of Quick Detail. The box about the size of a regular spray bottlle. The Clay is just larger that "hotel sized bar of soap" so don't be expecting to find a "block" of clay sold like bars of soap, or a cainster (like I origionally thought). When I actually saw the caly I was like "this is what everyone is talking about? this thing is so small!".
I would check online, pretty sure walmart would have it, you just might have to get the product no. from the internet and hold the walmart workers hand while they try to find it.. Most people would think you were talking about bodyfiller, when you said "clay for your paint".. The claybar technique is new to the commercial market, so many self proclaimed "experts" might not een know what you are talking about.. Clay bars have been used by professionals for a long time, but now the "weekend car enthuisiast" is able to do the same type of clay bar technique from his house, so some people in the industry(sales at walmart/k-mart) might not know about this "clay thing" you keep asking about..I find I usually have to explain the product monosyllabically (cave man style), to get the point across..
Almost sure the product is there, you will have to talk to the right person..

RF,
i know its only a small size bar. I looked all through there automotive section. They didn't even have NXT wax. All I saw was the NXT car wash over by the car stereos. But definetly no clay bar package anywhere. I know the meguirs comes with the quick detail bottle, but they had none.
I asked the guy, u guys sell claybay for car detailing he was like

o well.
