Lexol Color Test - Matte Black Leather

As I indicated in my previous thread I was concerned about losing "Matte" color of my seats. (2004 Black/Black TL).

Today I started cleaning my seats with Lexol cleaner and conditioner. While I was using cleaner I cleaned half of the head rest of the passenger seat. Then I cleaned it with damp towel. Then used the conditioner on that very half of the head rest and wiped it off. The resuots are factory color and side treated with Lexol are the same. Let's hope it really protects as it is claimed. Thouhgt you guys like to know.

Do you really need to use the cleaner too if your car is only 3 weeks old? How dirty can they get in 3 week?

I used the cleaner anyways just to make sure that there is no oily residual from your skin, etc. Then apply conditioner.

My dealer had Lexol however, they sell it for $12 a bottle. Discount auto has it for about $8 a bottle.

ak2001,
OK, but for those of us who don't have the time to do this every weekend, what's a good "recommended" interval to keep the leather soft and conditioned?

spray it on a pad/microfiber towel/terry cloth towel and then wipe it on the seats. It will help prevent overspray onto the console and the dashboard.

Lightstorm,
Frankly don't know the recommended time for getting them conditioned. I just want to be on the safe side and spend 20 mins everyweek. Because, If I don't and leather starts getting cracks or starts showing sign of wear and tear, it will be too late to recover from.

TBone2004,
Spray it to the applicator. Do not spray it on seats.

Pep Boys has the product, I am sure you can order it online from them.
