Kicked and run!

some idiot kicked or hit my rear bumper last night and i can see 1-2 inch bare bumper with no paint left on it which i can't stand. how much does touch up paint cost at the dealer? also, what else do i need to fix this problem? thank you

touch up paint at dealer costs $8 or so. if you're nice they might sell it to you for 6.

Show a LOT of cleavage when you walk into the dealership, they may give you a discount.

Ummm... Seriously?

You are going to consciously leave the extra two dollars at home and bring only $6 cash to the dealership?

Take a ten spot, you gotta cover the sales tax!


They probably take debit/credit cards. Just saying...

This kind of paint repair, to become (almost) unnoticeable needs to be 'blended'. This is not something many detailer s can do without lots of practice.

Take it to a bodyshop

i dont' need to show cleavage...just a little sweet talking and being cool ... i've gotten a few discounts, not only at the dealer, but at my local bike shops too. guess it pays to be a girl sometimes.

to OP-for your repair, honestly, take it to a professional and don't cheapen out on a car like the TL, unless you really know what the hell you are doing to fix it.

so i called dealer this morning and ordered the touchup paint for $8.42 that will be arriving day after tomorrow. my question is do i need a primer or should i just put 2-3 coats of touch up paint?
