Introduction Thread. - 2004 Audi A4 (
Hey guys, so this is my introduction thread on Acurazine. I waited my 15 days, and now i'm ready go.
My quick story, My name is Jonathan people call me (Jay) i've been detailing for years, always as my part time job/favorite hobby. It started off just doing my cars, then family started asking me, then my friends, then before you know it, friends of friends, then people i didn't know started calling me because the friend of the friends were handing my number out. Eventually i started doing it full time on the weekends probably 7-8 months of the year, depending on weather. This years winter here in Toronto, Canada was nice to us. Anyways, to the detail.
This car was totally disgusting. Customer was interested in a 1 stage of correction + sealant and wax.
Process - Exterior
- Misted with isopropyl
- Dawn wash
- All purpose cleaner on wheel wells and tires
- Wheel cleaner on rims and brakes
- Clay bar entire cars, glass included.
- Another dawn wash
- Dried with sidekick - (high pressure heat dryer)
- 2 Passes with Fine machine polish
- Isopropyl on all rubber and plastics
- 1 pass of sealant applied by machine
- Rubber conditioner on all rubber and plastics
- Butter wax applied by hand
- Finished with a detail spray.
Process - Interior
- vaccumed carpets, floors and trunk.
- steamed headliner
- Carpet and upholstery cleaner misted and then shampooed carpets and floors (machined)
- Leather and interior cleaner on dash, doors and leathers
- Leather Conditioner on leather and steering wheel
- Quick mist of detail spray on carpets for great smell
Note*.............This car had a little damage, fender to pole bender lol...........in which he did not want me to work on, just hide a little, so i did what i could.
Here's the pics guys hope you like, more to come soon. Any Questions just ask, So don't be scared!! In my 18 or so days here at Acurazine i already feel this is such a great community compared to some others i post on. Looking forward to enjoying my time here.
Thanks to Acurazine community in advance
Jay!
P.S, I usually post up my detail threads, in before and after pictures one after another.

Nice job man. Cold weather definitely not for me. I complain like crazy when I have to get out and do a detail in the cold. Great job on this car though man. What do you find is the toughest detailing a car that has this much salt and "winter wear" on it?
I find that the toughest area's are always just above the carpets where the carpets meet the floors, its where the salt builds up the most and its usually so thick that i need to scrap it off with razor blades, and then start my regular routine. If you look at the pic of the driver side carpet i posted you will see that the salt was so thick and was there for so long that it actually burned the carpet, and there was nothing i could do at that point. The owner said he regrets not caring for so long, because now there was irreversible damage.
Yea i've only recently started doing 50/5 pics. I usually only do them on my cars because there's no time line. i feel it slows me down to much when i'm in the grove. But my next couple threads will be all before and afters as i'm just posting up my work to date. my current stuff this summer i will try and include 50/50's for you guys!
ok swoosh, these are for you. There not really 50/50's but there closest thing to it. There before and afters on one specific fender i did on winter civic. (extremely bad condition paint. swirls were very very bad) Car had 430,000km on it. Probably next waxed in its life time.
