How do I clean tinted windows

I just want to get off the fingerprints and residue and stuff, but my windows are tinted. Can I just use water a microfiber towel and wipe and dry?

Maybe....

I use a clean clothe diaper towel that won't scratch the tint, and glass cleaner without amonia. Armor All and some other companies make glass cleaners that are safe for tinted windows.

Windex, as you prob. know, can discolor the tint over time. Products without amonia shouldn't hurt the tint, and will say that it is safe for tinted windows.

The place where I got my windows tinted suggested using a solution of water and vinegar. Some sites I've seen say not to use vinegar, but so far my tint is still black and not purple - hasn't degraded the tint at all.

I've used regular glass cleaner for years. It works.

I use Zaino car wash in a spay bottle. I just use a towel to dry. Don't see any scratches.

O well I knew Id do something wrong. I used a little car wash soap with water using a microfiber mitt. This morning I went in my car since I did it when the sun was going down last night, and on two places on my driver side windows it looks like a different shade then the tint, even though the tint shows up from the outside. I think maybe the car wash soap dried on those parts, and maybe I forgot to totally wipe those two spots off, so now I have two messed up decent size spots on my drivers side window.

Mine was covered when I had some discoloration on my front windows. Replaced no questions asked. Maybe your warranty is different. I have a liftime no fault. I can take a knife to my tint & it will be covered.

Ya same, if I ever encountered something with my tint which wouldn't be covered under warranty, I'd just scratch it and have them replace it (which is covered).

Ok well the tinter I got the work from me and him are not on good terms. He did a shitty job and my dot matrix and I pretty much bitched him out. I have the warranty, but the problem is the guy wont do it. Can I try to get some other guy to award my warranty saying the guy is out of business, considering its just a one guy business in a small warehouse.
