I use some Turtle Wax Chrome polish and it does a fine job. You can also use the powerball that attaches to a drill too but I find doing it by hand works just fine.

Any polish, and if the inside looks deteriorated, just tape off the chrome and spray with a high temp flat black paint. I keep outside grille spray paint in the garage for the mufflers on the Mazda and have used it on the Acura, not only teh inside of teh tips, but on the mufflers themselves.

Agreed. That's what I use for my tips. Works well for taking of the carbon build-up and any other gunk too. Not to mention you will probably only end up buying one can of it, stuff lasts forever. I'm still barely below the top, just use enough of the wadding to get the job done.

What do you use it on in the house? Never thought of that.

in 3 years I've gone through a 1 can, I use it on the chrome faucets and knobs in the bathroom, door knobs, locks, and time to time, my sink.

Nevr-Dull is amazing. Had my first experience with it this past weekend. I can see my reflection in my mufflers again!

If you need more bite to the metal polish, you can apply it with some 0000 grade steel wool. Then I'll typically follow up with another coat using a foam applicator pad. The steel wool really helps cut through old grime, oxidation and contamination.
